PREVIEW – Silverstone GP Circuit
The Dunlop 24 Hour will be utilizing the GP circuit & the original pit complex.
There has been some chat amongst competitors and spectators about what circuit configuration will be used for the 2015 DUNLOP 24 Hour Race at SILVERSTONE.
The event will be utilising the GP circuit, using the original pit straight and paddock complex as we have done in previous editions.
The Silverstone circuit was built in the late 1940’s and held its first race in 1947 utilizing the RAF WWII base at Silverstone. The track has undergone numerous changes whilst maintaining its status at England’s number 1 circuit.
The track is based in the “Motorsport Valley” region which is world renowned for its motor racing heritage and large industry footprint, hosting such events as the Formula 1, BTCC, WEC, British F3 and so on.
