Tracktorque Supercopa to promote Optical Express

Britcar stalwarts Tracktorque will run with laser eye surgery giant Optical Express livery in the Endurance Sports and Touring Car Championship throughout 2014.

The partnership, designed to enhance the digital profile of the high street optician, will see drivers Skid Carrera and Tony Shemmans pilot the team’s Seat Supercopa for the British and overseas rounds of the series.

Carrera continues his comeback after a couple of events in 2013 following a 6-season hiatus owing to work and personal commitments. “It’s taking a while to get back to speed, but I’m in the best possible place with a fast car and a great team,” says Carrera, adding, “We’re looking forward to a fruitful association with Optical Express, one of the UK’s leading consumer brands.”

Rookie Shemmans is equally excited at the prospects for the season. “It’s a steep learning curve,” he says, “and I’m hoping to be right on the pace after a couple of races.”
