The structure: This year’s Britcar Trophy Series is designed for the Gentleman Driver who wishes to enjoy shorter racing. The format is simple: testing with the circuit on the Friday, with 30 min qualifying, 3x30minute races, mostly all on the Saturday, saving hotel bills, plus being able to be home on the Sunday. The fragmented races will enable drivers to have a break in-between, so they can recharge the batteries.

The regulations have been looked at extensively and changed in order to promote good racing. The new regulations are designed to produce close competition in each class; making its anybodies race. The Trophy Series contains five classes, similar to the Endurance classes, but designed for the Gentleman type drivers who prefer 3 x 30 minute sprint races. Rolling starts will give confidence to the Drivers of the way in which Britcar polices a non-contact sport and the Mandatory pit stop will bring the opportunity for Professionals to take part.
