Dave Allan Trophy Cup race

Many of you will remember the tragic news last year when Britcar lost a valued and popular friend in the paddock.  Dave Allan was a driver for the Honda Factory racing team Synchro as well as a Honda employee.  He lost his life in an accident at the Millbrook Vehicle Proving Ground in Bedfordshire in 2012 leaving behind his family and many friends.

Honda and the Synchro Racing Team have decided to host a race in his honour at Castle Combe on the weekend of 15th and 16th of June.  The race will be a 45 minute mini endurance race with a mandatory pitstop to give you the opportunity to share drivers.  The race is open to all sports, saloon and GT cars and tyres are free.  The race will be run on a handicap system based on qualification times so it doesn’t matter if you are on pole or the back of the grid, you have the chance to take the outright victory.

Interest is expected to be high in this fun race and Britcar intends to provide some support to the proceedings as well.

Further details including registration of interest and prices can be obtained from the Castle Combe Racing Club: http://www.castlecombecircuit.co.uk/racingclub/
